Repertoire

The participant's program should contain a selection of works as described below:


Preselection
All participants should prepare a program for the preselection containing these elements:


• A toccata by Girolamo Frescobaldi or Johann Jakob Froberger, to be chosen by the participant (no organ toccata)
and
Troisième prélude from « L’Art de toucher le clavecin » by François Couperin
and
• A sinfonia by Johann Sebastian Bach, to be chosen by the participant from BWV 787 -> 801
and
• Two sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, to be chosen by the participant: K206 and K207 or K217 and K218 (p.e.: edit. Le Pupitre, vol. 35)

 

Semi-final
All participants should prepare a program for the semi-final containing these elements:


The Bells by William Byrd (p.e.: Musica Britannica vol XXVII, nr. 38)
and
Toccata Settima by Michelangelo Rossi (p.e.: Zanibon Edition)
and
Prélude à l’imitation de Mr. Froberger by Louis Couperin (p.e. : Ed. de L’oiseau-Lyre, nr. 6)
and
• A preludium and fuga by Johann Sebastian Bach to be chosen by the particpant from Das Wohltemperierte Klavier II (BWV 870 -> 893)
and
• Composition(s) (between 9 and 15 min) from the 2nd half of the 18th century, to be chosen by the participant
and
Vingt-cinquième ordre by François Couperin (La Visionnaire: Gravement Et Marqué - Vite , La Mistérieuse: Modérément, La Monflambert: Tendrement, Sans Lenteur, La Muse Victorieuse: Audacieusement, Les Ombres Errantes: Languissamment)

 

Final
All finalists will perform these pieces:


Passacaille from Huitième Ordre by François Couperin
and
Premier Concert (La Coulicam, La Livri, Le Vézinet) and Quatrième concert (La Pantomime, l’ Indiscrète, La Rameau) from « Pièces de clavecin en concerts » by Jean-Philippe Rameau
and
• A contemporary piece (more info to be announced in May 2018)
