A manuscript at the Royal College of Music bears a mysterious inscription: Mistress ABolleyn nowe thus”. Is this a signature of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII? David Skinner and his vocal ensemble Alamire suspect it is. They perform a selection from Anne’s songbook full of gorgeous chansons and motets by Brumel, Josquin and other masters of polyphony.
