What awaits us after death? The ques­tion which is cen­tral in La Divina Commedia assumes uni­ver­sal dimen­sions in the fes­ti­val debut of Voces Suaves. These young mas­ters of the Italian madri­gal nav­i­gate through a poly­phon­ic sound­scape of Dante’s here­after. In the foot­steps of Monteverdi, Gesualdo, Luzzaschi and many oth­ers, they take us from hell to heaven.
