No one is more qualified to kick off this MAfestival than Don Quixote, the legendary hidalgo who imagines himself a knight-errant. In 1743, Cervantes’s masterpiece was transformed into an opéra comique by Joseph Bodin de Boismortier. The ingenious airs, infectious dances and overwhelming choruses are in good hands with Le Concert Spirituel and Hervé Niquet.
