Ensemble Correspondances
Bach

In this programme, Ensemble Correspondances, who have previously focused on French music, make their first foray into the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. In this unique concert, its musicians – led by Sebastien Daucé – perform three magnificent cantatas composed by Bach during his short stay in Müllhausen, just before he was appointed to the Court of Weimar. It was incidentally there in Müllhausen that the young Bach wrote his first cantatas, a genre that was to have an abiding influence on his further career.
