Prometheus cer­tain­ly had nerve when he stole fire from the gods and gave it to human­i­ty. In 1801, Beethoven shaped the myth into an ​‘alle­gor­i­cal bal­let’. Today, the piano tran­scrip­tion of Beethoven’s Die Geschöpfe des Prometheus sparkles in the hands of vir­tu­oso Olga Pashchenko, prizewin­ner at the 2010 and 2012 International Competition Musica Antiqua Brugge.
