Purgatorio

Cornetto player Lambert Colson and his ensemble InAlto stage an encounter between the two titans of Italian poetry: Dante and Petrarca. The work of these poets fuelled the music of Jacopo Peri, Giulio Caccini and other contemporaries of Monteverdi. Expressive baroque monodies embark on a dialogue with new material by Bernard Foccroulle, inspired by Dante’s Purgatorio.
