Víctor García García
Suites by Bach

A Johann Sebastian Bach work that doesn’t have a Prélude? In that case, just make up your own! Cellist Víctor García, winner of the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition 2024, has been adding improvised movements to his Bach recitals for years. He does this – as was also customary in Bach’s day – by improvising repetitions, preludes and interludes in Bach’s style. In this way, he imparts his own musical reflection on his works. In this concert, García draws inspiration from the Doubles Bach composed for the Partita for Violin and combines movements from various cello suites with his own improvised Doubles.
Music by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685−1750)
During this concert, the residents of the Psychiatric Hospital are invited, which means that capacity is limited.
