We often think of a Lied as a work with voic­es, but back in the 16^th cen­tu­ry com­posers were already explor­ing ways of enabling the ​‘voice’ of an instru­ment to express the same depth of feel­ing a singer could. In this last con­cert of the MA Festival 2025, the musi­cians of Concerto Scirocco do the same. They search for the voice of 17^th cen­tu­ry instru­men­tal music and dis­cov­er vir­tu­os­i­ty, poet­ry and stories.
