Why do we process per­son­al data

Your per­son­al data are processed by Festival van Vlaanderen Brugge vzw for the fol­low­ing pur­pos­es and legal grounds:

  • in order to par­tic­i­pate in the activ­i­ties of Festival van Vlaanderen Brugge vzw
  • to send newslet­ters and invitations
  • to obtain gov­ern­ment subsidies.

For the above pur­pos­es, we may request the fol­low­ing per­son­al data from you:

  • Personal iden­ti­ty data : sur­name, first name, address, tele­phone num­ber, email
  • Identity data issued by the gov­ern­ment : iden­ti­ty card number
  • National reg­istry number
  • Personal char­ac­ter­is­tics : gen­der, date of birth, place of birth, nationality

We use the data col­lect­ed only for the pur­pos­es for which we obtained the data.

Provision to third parties

We may pro­vide the data you give to us to third par­ties if this is nec­es­sary for car­ry­ing out the pur­pos­es described above.

For exam­ple, we use a third par­ty for:

  • pro­vid­ing the inter­net envi­ron­ment (web hosting)
  • pro­vid­ing the IT infra­struc­ture (e.g. IT network, …)
  • pro­vid­ing (and dis­trib­ut­ing) newslet­ters and invitations
  • pro­cess­ing and send­ing (dig­i­tal) tick­ets fol­low­ing a per­for­mance of MA Festival Brugge.

We nev­er pass on per­son­al data to oth­er par­ties with whom we have not con­clud­ed a pro­cess­ing agreement.

Naturally, we make the nec­es­sary agree­ments with these par­ties (proces­sors) to guar­an­tee the secu­ri­ty of your per­son­al data.

Furthermore, we will not pass on the data you pro­vide to third par­ties, unless required and per­mit­ted by law. We may also share per­son­al data with third par­ties if you give us per­mis­sion to do so. You have the right to with­draw this con­sent at any time, with­out prej­u­dice to the law­ful­ness of the processing.

We do not pro­vide per­son­al data to par­ties locat­ed out­side the EU.

Retention peri­od

Festival van Vlaanderen Brugge vzw does not retain per­son­al data longer than nec­es­sary for the pur­pose for which they are pro­vid­ed or required by law, i.e. 3 years.

Your rights con­cern­ing your data

You have the right to inspect, cor­rect or delete the per­son­al data we have received from you. You can con­tact us at the top of this pri­va­cy state­ment. You can also object to the pro­cess­ing of all or part of your per­son­al data by us or one of our processors.

You also have the right to have us trans­fer the data you pro­vide to your­self or on your behalf direct­ly to anoth­er par­ty. We may ask you to iden­ti­fy your­self before we can com­ply with the afore­men­tioned requests.

Complaints

If you have a com­plaint about the pro­cess­ing of your per­son­al data, please con­tact us direct­ly about this.
You always have the right to lodge a com­plaint with the Data Protection Authority, which is the super­vi­so­ry author­i­ty in the field of pri­va­cy protection.

Amendment of pri­va­cy statement

Festival van Vlaanderen Brugge vzw may amend its pri­va­cy state­ment. We will make an announce­ment of this change on our website.
