Inspired by the Book of Revelation, the Ghislieri Choir & Consort devotes a pro­gramme to good and bad, to rebel­lion and redemp­tion. The ensem­ble unveils a num­ber of late poly­phon­ic pearls from the 18^th cen­tu­ry. Perez’ Mottetto in fes­to Sancti Michaelis Archangeli, Zerafa’s Improperia, and Jannacconi’s adap­ta­tion of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater: all sacred works of a most the­atri­cal nature.
