Together with his broth­er Bijan, sis­ter Mayram and his musi­cal broth­er Sylvain Barou, Keyvan Chemirani explores the bor­der­lands, the inter­sec­tions between Iranian, Indian and Irish music. Keyvan con­struct­ed the pro­gramme around his sis­ter, who sings along­side her broth­ers for the first time. She per­forms love poems in English and Persian and does this in a way that leaves no one unmoved. Hâl alludes to a state of con­scious­ness in which the self is entire­ly for­got­ten: a spir­i­tu­al trance.
