During the long-awaited final of MA Competition, the remaining candidates will dazzle us with an impressive programme. From the repertoire that they sent in, the jury will select a single solo work. The Belgian composer Heleen Van Haegenborgh has written six new, unique laments tailored to their own instrument. And as the highlight of the afternoon, the finalists will demonstrate their virtuosity with a solo concerto, accompanied by a Baroque ensemble. The winner will go home with a cash prize and an international concert tour. A single promising artist will be given the opportunity to record a CD with the prestigious label Ricercar. Viola da gamba, baroque violin, ‑cello, ‑oboe, recorder or traverso: who will become the new jury and public favourite? Help decide on 14 August at 1.30 pm in Bruges!

The proclamation of the final will take place at 18:30.
