Festival van Vlaanderen

Flanders’ magnificent architectural heritage offers particular potential as infrastructure for musical events. For more than five decades, the Festival of Flanders has used this fact to warm up young and old for classical music.

By supporting young Flemish artists and being at the forefront of innovative trends, the organisation contributes to the cultural influence of Flanders. Eight festivals with international appeal (in Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, Kortrijk, Limburg, Mechelen and Flemish Brabant) develop their own activities in a completely individual way. With regional accents, they span the entire classical repertoire from the Middle Ages to the present, with excursions into traditional world music.

Bundled together, this means a high-quality concert programme of more than 550 performances and educational projects in more than 80 cities and towns: an artistic, tourist and economic boost of stature. Visitors from home and abroad can discover the activities of the Festival of Flanders. The exceptionally rich programme offers something for everyone!
